After some grueling hours, all the pictures sent to me are now on Flickr accounts. The links are on the right in the Photo Gallery which is now up and running. I highly encourage checking it out.
I tried to highlight pictures that hadn't aready been shown / won contests, to give the spotlight away from those that have already basked in glory. The Photo Gallery, containing the top 20 pictures that didn't win awards, highlights what I feel were great moments in the dance party. Comment on your thoughts from those pictures here please: I'd love to hear your opinions on my choices.
Nostalgia is also welcome.
Well, the IST Dance Party has come and gone and many people have shared their sentiments. To all that went - thank you for participating. We couldn't have done it without you.
Many people have written about their experiences, such as Jamilah, Tom Sennet, and DJ Linglebach. I highly recommend that you check out their blogs. Also, post here! What are your sentiments? What happened that you loved? Did you sit at the bar? Did you get glow sticks? Hit up those comments, people, hit 'em up...
Our Dance space was spectacular: colored lights, streaming music, the works. And the best part? The server never crashed! SL actually did something without crashing!
The costumes I saw out there were absolutely amazing- here are some of my favorites!

You will have to register for the contests in advance. If you were worried about missing the sign-up or not being able to find it, that was because there wasn't one - To the best of my knowledge. Now you can go to the contest tab and the form link is there. Be sure to check back here though for the results and to see all the pictures! Getting your groove on in SL is less than a day away folks!

The clock is ticking, but I haven't received any information yet about the contests - so please get on that.. The building process counts, so don't forget to take pictures of EVERYTHING, including finding your costume, building things for the party itself.. we need content, people! Content!
For those of you that missed the announcement, a Dance Party will be held through the class of IST 110H within Second Life on Thursday, December 13th. It will be held for IST students everywhere from 6 to 9pm.
There will be Costume contests. There will be dancing. There will be LOTS of color and craziness. Despite your feelings about Second Life, Join in the extravaganza!! Don't have a costume? No worries, they are not required, only encouraged.. If you haven't registered for the contest, please visit this site and fill out the form. No Dance moves? Unlike your lack of style in the real world, We have found plenty of Scond Life Dance moves for you. All you have to do is show up...
NOTE:: If you cannot teleport to Istania on your first try, try again. Due to the amount of traffic expected, Second Life will control the number of Avatars on the island at a given time. We encourage you to try back after 5 minutes to see if someone has left. Patience with the system is appreciated - if you want to go, you will get there eventually...
